Survey of 'Rush Hour' Traffic - Branston - Find a freedom of information request

1. Please would you inform me as to whether you have undertaken a survey of the potential additional traffic that will be passing through Branston during "rush hours" as a result of the diversion in place caused by the forthcoming closure of the B1190? If so, what are the results?

1. Such surveys are not undertaken as part of the decision making process when determining diversion routes. Advice is taken from the network managers as to the best diversion routes for any particular closure. We also undertake a qualitative analysis of the needs for the closure (not directly related to the diversion route), in the form of the HAT38 guidance.
