The yearly figures for homecare are an approximate based on a snap shot of one week per month and an average of these figures timed by 52. 2015 & 2016 are numbers from a legacy system.

Disparity in annual figures may be due to the following:


2016: Migration to new customer management system delayed at various stages in the year; workers recording assessments on paper to prevent loss of activity at go-live so figures may be lower than actual activity.


2017 & 2018: New system go-live in December 2016; assessment events created for all clients migrated onto the new workflow-driven system to give workers a 'placeholder' activity to continue recording from, as well as usual assessment activity, so figures may be higher than expected.


2019 to date: new processes introduced such as initial conversation between the customer and social care worker to discuss the customer's situation which may result in signposting to other support where appropriate, potentially leading to a reduction in full assessments of needs.
