Decision

In accordance with Section 1(1) (a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, you are advised that Lincolnshire County Council does  hold information that falls within the description specified in your request.

 

a) Lincolnshire County Council didn't declare a Climate Emergency, however, they have committed to the Council becoming carbon neutral by 2050

 

b) Progress towards planning to achieving carbon neutrality will be reviewed by Lincolnshire County Council in December 2019.

 

The Corporate Environmental Board regularly monitors progress towards carbon reduction projects and considers new opportunities.

 

c) Lincolnshire County Councils third Carbon Management Plan has set a target of a 20% reduction on its 2016/17 baseline of 28,679 tonnes of CO2 by 2023.

 

Lincolnshire County Council's first two carbon management Plans have led to a 47% reduction in CO2 emissions from its 2005/06 baseline.

 

The Sustainability Team is now working with internal and external partners to develop a long term plan in line with local, national and international agreements.
