- Overview
-
We provide advice and support for schools to review any Public Right of Way that could affect them.
This includes assessments of the suitability of access routes and opportunities to alter the network to reduce any effect on the school premises.
Appointments are available to visit sites and we can provide initial advice by telephone or email.
We can ensure you have considered the legal and practical issues of Public Rights of Way across or adjacent to school/educational sites.
- Benefits
-
We can ensure that all avenues are explored to maintain site safety and child safeguarding.
This is often a requirement of Ofsted and a full risk assessment of the Public Right of Way affecting a site will be required.
- Cost
-
- Initial advice is provided free of charge
- Formal reports for schools or other external agencies are chargeable at an hourly rate
- Charges for legal orders to divert or extinguish paths are £1,700 for administration, plus advertising fees (around £800 average).
