• necessary to perform a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority
• necessary for the provision of social care and the management of social care systems and services 
• necessary for reasons of substantial public interest

• when provided to us directly by you
• when provided by another individual, such as a carer or family member
• when provided by another organisation involved in the provision of services such as healthcare, social and welfare organisations

• elected members
• organisations involved in the provision of services such as healthcare, social and welfare organisations
• police forces and other law enforcement and prosecuting authorities
• Department for Work and Pensions
• other local authorities and district councils
• voluntary and charitable organisations involved in providing our services

We are required to retain your information for as long as is necessary, after which it will be securely destroyed.
