The online MCCD upload portal has now closed in preparation for the new Death Certification Reform. The commencement date for the death certification reform statutory provisions is 9 September 2024.
The new arrangements will apply to all deaths certified on or after 00:00 on 9 September 2024.
You should now be referring all cases to the Medical Examiner Scheme via SystmOne.
Please also ensure you have reviewed the guidance for medical practitioners completing a medical certificate of cause of death in England and Wales.
