The portable antiquities scheme identifies and records archaeological objects found by the public. It is run by the British Museum and we are a partner organisation.
Every year, members of the public find thousands of archaeological objects such as coins, buckles and brooches. Recording these finds helps to advance our knowledge of the history and archaeology of Lincolnshire.
If you find something you think could be important, email lincssmr@lincolnshire.gov.uk or call 01522 552361.
We will give you advice and record anything of archaeological significance.
For further details, visit the portable antiquities scheme website.
By law, you must report any object which you believe to be treasure to the coroner within 14 days.
