Before you make a request
The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act gives you the right to request access to information we hold.
Where a request relates to environmental information, this will considered under the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR).

Before making a request, please contact the relevant service to check whether the information can be provided through normal business processes without the need for a formal request. You should also check our Publication Scheme to see whether the information you are seeking is already publicly available.
